Eusko pilota and ancient pilota game Something to share

Basque pilota and ancient pilota in Greece have someting in common. If you read this article you will be surprised with this information. One of our students Ekaitz practised Basque pilota.

Basque pelota (pilota in the original Basque language) is the name for a variety of court sports played with a ball using one’s hand, a racket, a wooden bat or a basket, against a wall or, more traditionally, with two teams face to face separated by a line on the ground or a net.
And do you know what I have found!!!
The roots of this type of games can be traced to the Greek.
So we’ve got something in common.
The history of the pilota game in Greek shows us that there are many indications that it was practiced in the ancient Greek and Alexander the Great was a good pilota player.
