Iker Dominguez, Naia Mena, Ane Astigarraga and Mei Torres in the EYP

On the week of January 25th, 26th and 27th our students participated in the regional session of the European Youth  Parliament ( EYP) in Bilborock ( BIlbao) 
 

There were another eight  Biscayan centres Lauaxeta Ikastola, Lauro Ikastola; Munabe, I.E.S Botikazahar B.H.I,San Jose Jesuitak ikastetxea Durango, I.E:S Uribarri B.H.I , Artxandape Ikastola and I.E.S Elexalde B.H.I , which  participated in the regional session of the European Youth Parliament (EYP) in Bilborock (Bilbao.)

EYP is a youth initiative for young people that has great acceptance in multiple European countries.
The European Youth Parliament is a peer-to-peer educational programme that brings together young people from across Europe to debate the pressing issues of our time. Its mission is to inspire and empower young Europeans to be open-minded, tolerant and active citizens. .

They do it in the same way as they do in Brussels in the European Parliament so that they experience what is being done in Brussels and at the same time  European bureaucracy and issues  is brought  close to their real lives.

In these regional days, each school is represented from 3 to 6 students, which in our case were Iker Dominguez, Mei Torres. (4 DBH) Naia Mena, Ane Astigarraga( 1 Batx)

During the weekend our students were working intensively with another students from the schools I have mentioned above putting into practice their skills to express their ideas and debate on European political and social issues related to human rights, constitutional affairs,environment,public health, culture.education and transport.
